Cox's Bazar

Cox's Bazar is an urban place, a sport fishing slot and region head office in Bangladesh. The seaside in Cox's Bazar is an unbroken 120 km (75 mi) exotic sea seaside with a light mountain, one of the lengthiest. It is situated 150 km (93 mi) southern of the commercial slot Chittagong. Cox's Bazar is also known by the name Panera, whose actual interpretation indicates "yellow plant." Its other old name was "Palongkee”.

The contemporary Cox's Bazar originates its name from Leader Hiram Cox (died 1799), a copy official of the English Eastern Indian Organization. Cox was hired Superintendent of Palongkee outpost after Warren Hastings became Governor of Bengal. Leader Cox was exclusively mobilized to cope with a century-long issue between Arakan refugees and native Rakhains. He started the work of rehabilitating refugees in the region generating important improvement. Leader Cox passed away in 1799 before he could complete his perform.
